COCOMA has proudly contributed all the cocoa found in each bar of Madécasse chocolate since 2011. COCOMA SARL is a Madagascar-based company that was created in early 2011. Its main activities are the export and sales of COCOA beans, vanilla, spices and essential oils. Specifically in cocoa, COCOMA harvests some of the most flavorful cocoa in the world that consists of heirloom varieties and a high percentage of criollo and trinitario beans, as well as the highly sought-after amelonado (forastero) strain. COCOMA strives to bring prosperity to Madagascar by developing direct relationships with farmer partners. The company began working with farmers in Ambanja in 2010 and has a successful track record of cultivating long-term farmer relationships. Cocoma works with more than 50 Malagasy producers to achieve superior quality of cacao beans. Based on a positive business ethos, Cocoma cultivates strong farmer relationships built on trust, understanding and shared values. By following rigorous international standards with respect to the cocoa supply chain (harvesting, fermentation, drying, packaging, storage...), COCOMA achieves premium quality cocoa beans.
